Social Media- Spotlight: Bosslogic a Visual Journey

When it comes to digital art there's one name that's risen above and beyond to become the new standard for excellence, that name is Bosslogic (a.k.a. Kode Abdo). If you're behind the curve and aren't familiar with his work he is a literal photoshop wizard. Now this isn't the only tool he uses or media he creates but his edits are top notch. This lad from Australia grew up a big fan of all things nerd culture which inspired him to start creating his own digital art and the general consensus is that he's gotten rather good at it. Other names like House of Matt come to mind but as of right now Bosslogic sits at the top of the tower in his field.

Social Media is his biggest promoter and his best friend. Gaining popularity via social media over the past few years Bosslogic has grown to a massive 2.2 Million followers on Instagram alone. This isn't even mentioning the nearly 430 thousand followers he has on his Twitter or his Facebook following which comes in at just under 500 thousand. He started off making fan art but has since landed many official jobs with the UFC, Marvel, DC, and Warner Bros. Citing inspirations such as the late great Stan Lee it only makes sense that he would end up creating content for the world of superheroes. One of his more impressive feats was landing his own official cover for a DC comic book featuring the joker

He has certainly made is mark in multiple mediums, one such example is the has done for Marvel studios. He was given the opportunity to create exclusive posters for the it film Avengers Endgame. This wouldn't be the only time he would work for Disney or one of it's affiliates. He was also hired to create some posters for the live action Aladdin remake. Both projects were fairly successful in their own right. The studios enjoyed his work, hustle, and personality so much they've already asked him to come back to work on future projects that are all a bit hush hush for now. Despite this success with major players in the game BossLogic sticks to his roots and pumps out tons of fan art on a regular basis, Despite the recent success he seems as humble and hungry as ever.

What I appreciate about BossLogic is that he is never afraid to branch out. His official artwork for the UFC showed us that. I believe there is a bit of a stigma surrounding the nerd community that we don't like sports or aren't athletic in general. As an avid fan of Basketball and a few other main series sports and a reasonable athlete myself this always irritates me. He has shown great love for the UFC and many other sports. Anything that's popular he takes on the challenge of putting his own touch on it. Whether it be a UFC main card poster, super bowl fan art, or even a Kobe memorial piece. One of my favorite pieces he did for the UFC was for superstar Israel Adesanya, it draws from the fighters nerd background and love of the anime Naruto to create a striking image.

One of the other main things he is known for is predicting the future. Let me rephrase, he has a knack for predicting and even influencing castings in major projects with his work. He is always using his skills to explore what certain actors would look like playing titular roles. There have even been instances of his artwork being directly cited in casting decisions, one such notable casting was Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Bosslogic rendered some art of Cavill as the hero that actually helped him land the role.

Another prediction came in the form of artwork of Mahershala Ali as the new Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sure enough it was later announced that the actor had snagged the role. In my humble opinion he was the only choice to follow up the legendary Wesley Snipes in the role. I'm positive that Bosslogic will be brought in to work on the official posters for the movie when it nears release. It should be another massive step in his already impressive body of works.

Lewis Tan is set to star in the new Mortal Kombat film but it all started when Bosslogic drew up some ideas of what he could look like as Scorpion. Now we flash forward to see Tan as a seemingly original character and leading the potential franchise. Lastly my favorite casting he has predicted was Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano in the Mandalorian. As I have likely previously mentioned a billion times in past articles she was the first woman I had a crush on as a child and the character is one of my favorites in the entire Star Wars franchise. It was a match made in heaven and Bosslogic called it. The art he mocked up of her made it obvious she was the clear choice. It's work like this that has led to him getting shoutouts from people like Rosario Dawson and even Jake Gyllenhaal back during the Spiderman: Far from Home press rounds. Celebrities seem to love his work and I understand why.

Coming from his extremely humble beginnings I think Bosslogic serves as a lesson in perseverance and trusting in yourself. People like this are inspirations for the same little kids that are out there doodling pictures of superheroes while they should be paying attention in class. The importance of artists to our society seems to get pushed back behind flashier careers and I'm glad to see a modern day pro get his flowers while he still has so much talent left to give the world. Recognition and validation can often mean more than the money. Having someone genuinely enjoy your art is an amazing feeling.
